Method
1.Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
2.Using an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy. Add flour, chocolate and milk. Mix to form a firm dough.
3.Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface to about 0.5cm thickness.
4.Cut out 12 x 9cm rounds with a biscuit cutter. Place on prepared tray. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until crisp and golden. Cool completely on tray.
5.Spread mascarpone over 1 shortcake. Add berries. Top with a second shortcake. Dust with cocoa and repeat with remaining shortcakes. Serve.
Shortcake: may be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container.
