Char siu pork ribs

Serve ribs with steamed rice and stir-fried asian greens. Ask the butcher to cut the rib racks into pieces that will fit your slow cooker.

Method

1.Cut rib racks into pieces to fit a 4.5-litre (18-cup) slow cooker. Heat peanut oil in large frying pan. Working in batches, brown ribs all over.
2.Meanwhile, combine sauces, juice, ginger, garlic, chilli and sesame oil. Brush over ribs. Place ribs in cooker, pour over remaining sauce. Cook, covered, on low, 7 hours.
3.Remove ribs from sauce, cover to keep warm. Place sauce in medium saucepan, bring to the boil. Boil, uncovered, about 5 minutes, or until sauce is thickened slightly.
