1.Cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling, salted water, 4-5 minutes, following packet instructions. Drain well.
2.Meanwhile, heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large frying pan on high. Sauté asparagus, 2-3 minutes, until tender. Transfer to a plate.
3.Sauté bacon in same pan, 2-3 minutes, until crisp. Add remaining oil, pasta, asparagus and parmesan to pan. Season to taste. Toss well. Serve with shaved parmesan, if you like.
